The drivers were in the westbound lanes of Interstate 394 when a state trooper clocked the lead vehicle at more than 100 mph around 5:20 p.m. Saturday.

The trooper saw the lead car, a lime green Lamborghini, and about a dozen other elite sports cars driving behind it, well over the speed limit, changing lanes and passing other cars, according to a Minnesota State Patrol incident report.

The trooper tried to stop the group, and some drivers pulled over, but the lead cars didn’t stop, the report said. The trooper radioed a description of those cars to other local agencies, which found five of the vehicles in a Holiday gas station parking lot in Maple Plain.

The 12 drivers facing the misdemeanor citations are:

• John Andrew Biancini, 66, of Vadnais Heights, in a 2009 Maserati Granturismo.

• Swen Daniel Corbin, 42, of Minnetonka, in a 2012 Lamborghini Aventador.

• Ethan Eli Hoover, 27, of Bloomington, in a 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo.

• Adam Corbett Isaacson, 42, of Eden Prairie, in a 2015 Audi R8.

• Austin James Kemmer, 24, of Fargo, N.D., in a 2010 Nissan GT-R.

• Justin Michael Krueger, 24, of North Dakota, in a 2009 Dodge Viper.

• David Kent Morgan, 25, of St. Louis Park, in a 2016 McLaren 675LT.

• Dung Minh Nguyen, 37, of Brooklyn Park, in a 1991 Acura NSX.

• Alfredo Santiago, 37, of Andover, in a 2011 Nissan GT-R.

• Gholam Hossein Vatanioskooi, 56, of Victoria, in a 2015 Nissan RPB.

• Goran Vejzovic, 33, of St. Paul, in a 2009 Audi R8.

• John Terrill Wanninger, 52, of Edina, in a 2005 Ferrari convertible.

A Lamborghini Aventador carries a retail price of more than $400,000, according to Car and Driver magazine, and a 2016 McLaren 675LT runs for about $350,000.

Minnesota Exotics and Supercars, an invitation-only club of exotic car enthusiasts, counts several of the drivers cited as members.

Swen Corbin, the driver of the Lamborghini Aventador, is listed as the group’s agent on a business incorporation filing.

Minnesota Exotics and Supercars posted on its Facebook account that it would a live broadcast around 5 p.m. Saturday. The first trooper to spot the group of cars did so at 5:19 p.m., the State Patrol report said. The group’s Facebook page has since been removed.

The group hand-picks members from across Minnesota, according to its website, and meets bimonthly for “cruises,” which it says are “carefully planned” and “concealed from public knowledge” to preserve the privacy of the members and prevent “outside intervention.”
