Nearly twenty years after the last Alfa Romeo was imported stateside, the Italian automaker is back!
Alfa Romeo will make its return to the United States at the 2014 New York International Auto Show, bringing along with it the all-new Alfa Romeo 4C sports car.
“With more than 60 new vehicle reveals scheduled this year, the New York Auto Show is accustomed to hosting a wide range of exciting, newsworthy events,” said Show Chairman John LaSorsa in a statement. “The recent announcement that Alfa Romeo is returning to the market and has chosen the New York Auto Show to mark the occasion is very special for us and will be well received by our visitors.”
The new 4C features a carbon-fiber body and a turbocharged 1.75-liter, 4-cylinder engine making 240 horsepower. Sales were initially expected to start in late 2013 before being delayed to mid-2014 with no explanation.
The New York Auto Show opens on April 18.
