York County Corvette Club: meets the first Friday of every month for an ice cream run to a mystery destination arranged by the program chairman.
Cars and coffee: Bring your car or truck and have coffee with Performance Motors of Hanover, 1171 Eichelberger St., Hanover, 8 to 10 a.m. the second Saturday of each month through September. Legends in Drag Racing: Each Monday at 7 p.m., Sam Auxier Jr. hosts the biggest legends in drag racing at dragracersreunion.ning.com.
Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program: offers free motorcycle safety classes. Class schedules are available online at pamsp.com. Students who successfully complete the knowledge and skills test will receive a motorcycle license from the state Department of Transportation. A motorcycle permit from PennDOT is required to register for a class. Motorcycles and helmets are provided for the Basic Rider Course.
The York Antique Car Club: The area’s local non-marquee specific antique & special interest car club. We sponsor spring, summer and fall car cruises and tours in addition to our monthly car show held the third Sunday at Lion Bowling Center, 90 Martin St. in Red Lion. We also have indoor activities during the winter. We are currently inviting new members to join us for year ‘round fun. Dues are $10 per family membership. No national club affiliation required. We welcome all types of special interest domestic and foreign cars, including antiques, classics, sports cars, hot rods and street rods, muscle cars and trucks, however ownership of a car is not required for membership.
