Chrysler’s Profits Surge on Strong US Sales – Wall Street Journal

Chrysler Group LLC’s third-quarter profit climbed 32% to $611 million, lifted by double-digit sales gains in the U.S. amid strong demand for its Jeep sport-utility vehicles and Ram pickup trucks.

Since taking control of Chrysler in 2009, Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne has turned the company into a consistently profitable and fast growing auto maker. Chrysler’s U.S. sales rose 19% during the third-quarter.
