ORLANDO – A tiny helicopter has crashed into a guest residence on Alameda Street in Orlando, killing the pilot.

The Orlando Sentinel reports the helicopter crashed Sunday afternoon, scattering debris and starting a compact fire.

According to WKMG Ch. 6, the property was situated in the Seville Place and Edgewater Drive location, causing a fire to start off.

Police stated no a single was inside the guest residence at the time of the crash but there have been men and women in the principal household.

The crash occurred two miles west of the Orlando Executive Airport.

Neighbors said the helicopter’s rotor landed in the backyard of a different household and knocked down a fence 3 houses away. Some residents lost power soon after the crash.

The aircraft took off from Orlando Executive Airport close to downtown near Edgewater Boulevard and Colonial Drive, which is west of Interstate 4.
