Volkswagen Says Carbon Deviations Much Smaller Than Suspected – Wall Street Journal

FRANKFURT—Volkswagen AG said on Wednesday its investigations into potentially false carbon-dioxide and fuel-consumption data showed deviations for a much smaller number of vehicles than originally suspected, and the company no longer expects a €2 billion ($2.18 billion) hit to earnings in the matter.
