Auto sales managers arrested, charged with fraud – Atlanta Journal Constitution
Managers at a Carroll County auto sales business were arrested Friday on fraud charges, officials said.
Brian Howard Priest, of Atlanta; Brenda Enlund, of Villa Rica; and Jeanie Hill, of Douglasville, were each charged with racketeering for their participation in criminal activity at Easy Auto Sales in Villa Rica.
They were also charged with six counts each of filing false statements concerning title tax and 12 counts of theft by deception. More charges are expected to be filed as the investigation continues.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and the Villa Rica Police Department spent months investigating Easy Auto Sales, according to a news release. Fraudulent activity ranged from filing false title tax affidavits to consumer fraud for taking money from consumers and failing to pay off the liens or produce a title.
Police from three agencies executed search warrants at the suspects’ Fulton, Douglas and Carroll county homes. When officers searched Priest’s home, they also found a stolen vehicle, marijuana and cocaine.
Investigators believe more fraud victims will be discovered. They ask that anyone who believes they were a victim to contact Investigator Lance Rayburn of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office at 770-830-5916 or Det. Terry of the Villa Rica Police Department at 678-840-1322.
