HOUSTON – The man accused of beating and decapitating an auto shop owner is now in custody, according to his family.

Raymond Jackson, 62, is charged with murder in the death of Enayatolah Khorsand, 58, according to the Houston Police Department.

Investigators said officers received a call at 8:30 p.m. Thursday of a “man down” at the Mykawa Auto Parts located in the 9100 block of Mykawa Road near Scarlet Street.

When HPD arrived at the scene, they found Khorsand brutally beaten and decapitated. The crime was caught on cameras that were rolling inside the shop.

Police said the video shows the suspect committing the crime.

Witnesses stated Jackson was a regular visitor to the business.

Motive is unknown at this time, police said.

Investigators said that “this was the worst he has seen.”  The victim is apparently the shop’s owner, police said.

“I don’t know why the world is the way it is right now,” Greg Gaston, victim’s friend, said.

Friday morning friends stopped by the business hoping to offer comfort to the victim’s loved ones.

“Very friendly guy very nice talks to everybody. It’s sickening saying stuff like that,” Gaston said.

Family of the suspect, Jackson, says that he is a college graduate who is married with children.
