Dozens of automotive journalists in the U.S. and Canada who are jurors will drive the vehicles and narrow their choices to finalists. Finalists for Car of the Year and Truck/Utility of the Year will be named Dec. 8 during an Automotive Press Association meeting.

The winners will be announced in January during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Earlier this year, the 2015 Volkswagen Golf and 2015 Ford F-150 took top honors.
