Two double murders 36 hours apart in Ford Heights – WGN-TV

Two double murders in two days left three members of one family dead.

It all happened in a small neighborhood in south suburban Ford Heights.

Two people were found dead Friday night in the 1400 block of Regent Lane.

38-year-old Mchezo McMillian and 21-year-old Ashley Hudson were pronounced dead at the scene.

Both had multiple gunshot wounds and the home had no signs of forced entry.

Then, just a few blocks away, two people were found shot in a white van early Sunday morning.

Cyrus Johnson, 19,  and his nephew, Ephram Jones, 17, were both relatives of McMillian.

Patricia Johnson lost a son, a grandson and a cousin all within 36 hours.

She says she held her son, Cyrus Johnson,  as he died Sunday morning.

“I heard a door slam, and I heard gunshots,” Johnson said. “I ran outside and my husband kept saying ‘call the police, call the police. CJ’s not moving. They’re not moving.’”

Cook County Sheriff’s investigators are handling both scenes, as Ford Heights had to disband its police department six years ago due to a lack of funds in the village.
